Book: Is It Just Me? or Is Everyone a Little Nuts!
Author: Judi Coltman
Bio:
Raised in an affluent suburb of Detroit, Judi Coltman grew up in a female heavy household with an urban sense of "normal."
Coltman attended Michigan State University, majoring in Journalism until a professor requested she switch majors - "Apparently making a story better with added features isn't acceptable in the news world," Coltman laments.
With a BA in English from Northern Illinois University, Coltman has written for local, regional and national publications.
Most recently, Coltman has been writing a weekly blog called, "My Life in a Nutshell," from where her book material was born.
Coltman lives in northern Illinois and is working on her second book.
Ereaders, actually all readers, who like to laugh will enjoy this book. A series of humorous stories and essays reveal the human in humor as we marry, parent and age -- often against our will. Solutions to the dreaded chin hair, what to do with a bag of pot, and how to get creative when telling your child about the facts of life, are offered as well as some thoughtful pieces on parenting and the utter honesty in that we probably don't know what we are doing, but what they heck - it works.
Initially, I went indie because the time frame from impetus to publication is so much faster than traditional methods, however, clearly there is a greater amount of freedom in the process and I feel totally in control of my projects. I love it.
In the humor genre, I adore Erma Bombeck, but I write in several so I need to include Patricia Cornwell, John Irving and Mother Goose.

Wow - you would think an author, English major and elementary educator would have corrected the last sentence from "right" to "write" - color me embarrassed!
