Steve Carter-- Love, Sex, and Tesco's Finest Cava

Steve Carter is a former teacher now Guesthouse owner on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Love, Sex and Tesco’s Finest Cava

Q: What will e-readers like about your book?
I think it a really funny insight to modern relationships that will interest both sexes.

Q: Why did you go indie?
I couldn’t get an agent to take it on as ‘Women don’t read romance novels written by men’. So I decided if I get only one sale on Amazon it’s one more person who’s read it and that to me is the point of writing—to get read.

Q: Who are your favorite authors in your genre?
Nick Hornby—My book has been compared to him (but not by him)

  1. "Women don't read romance novels written by men" - that's a bunch of BS and the opinion of a publishing industry stuck in the 19th century. I'm glad you didn't listen to them!

  2. Steve, I just bought your book. You should put a link here to your book on the Amazon U.S. site (Amazon.com) as well. Readers in the U.S. can't buy it on the U.K. site. They may think, it's only available in England and you may lose some potential readers.
I look forward to reading it. Sounds like a fun book!

  3. Well, the Hot Chick on the cover will lure women in. Yes, we are drawn to images of our own kind. I will look for it on Kindle.
