Q: What will e-readers like about your book?
They'll like the originality and the heart behind it as they try to piece together the mystery behind Maria and her new love interest's past. The story takes a modern twist on the arranged marriage conflict you sometimes see in romance novels through high school student Maria, but even though the main character is from a diverse cultural background and finds herself in a surreal situation, she has a heart that most readers should be able to relate to. Amidst the dangerous romance between the two main characters, there's also a touching story of service and community related to her love interest, so readers should be intrigued and touched at the same time.
Q: Why did you go indie?
After a lot of research on traditional and self-publishing, I liked the freedom self-publishing offered. So far, I'm enjoying the ride.
