Bio: Chris Pink is a 30 year-old bearded freelance writer and artist from Cambridge, UK.
He writes for a London publishing company and a few loyal clients. To
date he has written in excess of 3,000 articles, blog posts and press
releases. The Number 3 Mystery Book is his first (published)
novel -- which appeals to both teen readers as well as adults -- and
it's receiving great reviews and feedback. He'd prefer not to talk about
the eight he wrote before he got this far...
Product description: The Number 3 Mystery Book is a darkly humorous investigation into one boy's journey as he strives to become the greatest Cryptozoology expert of all time. And it's going great, until strange events start occurring, forcing him to consider the idea that even darker forces may be at work than he first suspected...and on top of all this he has to deal with his best-friend Wonky, who is a pain, not to mention a girl!
Q: What will e-readers like about your book? It makes for easy enough, accessible reading, but with a story that's different from most teen fiction books; it's also educational, at the same time as tackling serious issues that will resonate with anyone with a pulse.
Q: Why did you go indie? I can't wait forever to get published, and besides, I like having control of every aspect of my work. Artists have that privilege in every other medium; publishers might not like it, but I don't see why writers should have to feel any guilt about doing that.
Q: Who are your favorite authors in your genre? Mark Haddon, Neil Gaiman, Mark Twain.
