Proud Pant - Gregory G. Allen

Bio: I have been in the entertainment business for over twenty years as an actor, director, writer, and composer. I’ve had several short stories published and have had numerous musicals I’ve written produced on stage. I moved from Texas to New York in the late 80s and spent several summer touring the country as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, but writing instead of performing won out in the end. Proud Pants is my first novelette memoir and I have a novel coming out in the fall: Well With My Soul.

Product description:
Proud Pants: An Unconventional Memoir
A man recalls his life of addiction, abandonment, and anger as he faces death at the age of thirty-four. Told through the voice of one man, but written through the words of his brother - this memoir novelette describes the troubled life who was rejected by one woman at an early age but found solace in another.

Q: What will e-readers like about your book? People are relating to this book on many levels. The love of family. The pain of addiction. The agony of dying. But also shows redemption of a tortured soul.

Q: Why did you go indie? I wanted to get this book out prior to my novel and after years of pounding the pavement attempting to get a big publisher with the upcoming novel, the power of Indie made sense. The control an author has working with an indie publisher as well as the camaraderie in the community.

Q: Who are your favorite authors in your genre? Augusten Burroughs  call me strange – but when it comes to memoir, I’ve always loved Ann Frank
