American Smile weaves together a D-Day love story and a contemporary tale.
When Emma Rowland discovers her family tree is riddled with lies, she is determined to uncover what really happened - though the truth has been hidden for sixty-five years and few people are willing to talk. Tyler Robinson, a shy but sexy aircraft mechanic, offers to help, but it soon becomes clear that Tyler has secrets of his own. He knows a lot more about airplanes than he does about women, for a start.
Together they follow the trail blazed by a reckless GI and his wartime sweetheart, who met just weeks before the boys left for the beaches of Normandy. In Paris, they find their answers, but what does the future hold for them both?

Great characters, a mystery begging to be solved, and an irresistible romance.
Q: Why did you go indie?
I was determined to publish the book for the Anniversary of D-Day. Since the book was only completed in February, and the anniversary was in June, I didn’t think a traditional publisher could get it to the market that quickly. I knew I could.
